SAD leader Daljit Singh Cheema said, “The Ministry of Home Affairs decision to impose central government rules on employees of Chandigarh is in violation of the spirit of the Punjab Reorganisation Act and must be reconsidered.” THIRD MAJOR ISSUE The Chandigarh administration issue is the third major change brought about by the Centre. Now, the Centre has become a direct stakeholder in the Chandigarh administration days after the BJP’s rival in Delhi took control of the Punjab government. The tussle between the AAP and the BJP-led Centre kicked off when Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal pushed for action against the central government employees working in Delhi.
