BJP's first list for Rajasthan Assembly polls opens a pandora's box

The declaration of Diya Kumari's name has deeply antagonised Narpat Singh Rajvi, a five-time BJP MLA who has won from the Vidyadhar Nagar seat thrice and is currently the party's sitting MLA. After Diya's nomination, Rajvi, who is the son-in-law of former Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, reportedly expressed his deep displeasure at being denied the ticket from the Vidyadhar Nagar seat, considered one of the safest bastions for the BJP in Rajasthan. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore For Jhotwara Assembly constituency, the BJP has given a ticket to former Union Minister and BJP MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
