70th National Awards to be announced today: When and where to watch
The much-awaited 70th National Film Awards will be announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting today, August 16. The National Film Awards, which will recognise the best films of 2022, will be revealed at 1:30 pm. DD News announced the same with a post on X. Mammootty has been recognised at the National Film Awards for his outstanding performances in ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ and ‘Rorschach.’ Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery, his dual role in 'Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam' has earned widespread critical acclaim, while his intense portrayal of Luke Antony in 'Rorschach' has also received high praise, positioning him as a leading contender for this prestigious national honour. ‘Kantara’ actor Rishab Shetty is also in the running for the Best Actor Award at the 70th National Film Awards.
