Chandni Chowk set for another round of revamp! Delhi govt to begin second phase of redevelopment soon

The Delhi government is all set to revamp the iconic Chandni Chowk as part of the second phase of the redevelopment project. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia met the officials on Monday and asked them to ensure the balance between historic and modern architecture during the second phase of revamping Chandni Chowk. RESTORING THE HISTORY Sisodia said that while in the first phase, the focus was more on decongesting the area and beautifying the main road stretch, now the government will try to restore the historical value. FIRST PHASE OF REVAMP During the first phase of the revamp in Chandni Chowk, the 1.4 km stretch between the market and the Red Fort was modified with red sandstone and granite pavement.
