Unemployment rate in South Australia hits 15-year high; crisis building for some time, Business SA says
ABCSouth Australia now clearly stands out as the worst state for unemployment, recording its highest jobless rate in 15 years. South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill said the state's growing unemployment rate was "deeply disturbing". Mr Weatherill said South Australia would have to "run just to stay still" on employment in coming years. Figure could reach double digits: Business SA Mr McBride said he believed unless there was urgent intervention to stop the trend, South Australia's jobless rate could hit double digits. "Jay Weatherill has no plan to fix the jobs crisis here in South Australia," Mr Pisoni said.
