I’m Really Disturbed at How This Video Game Is Corrupting My Kid

He then looked puzzled, noted that the character had eight children by three different wives, and said, “Well, he can’t be that gay.” I haven’t heard homophobic comments out of him otherwise. Indeed, what it means for a medieval video-game character to be gay is the subject of much discussion among Crusader Kings players, but refreshingly, that discussion—like your son’s comment—reveals confusion and curiosity, rather than homophobia. Your son sounds fine—he’s just figuring things out in real life, just as he’s figuring things out in his video game.
