Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has raised a question on the European Parliament delegation visiting Jammu and Kashmir when Indian MPs are having to seek the court's permission to visit the Valley. He said, "I don't have an objection to the European Union Parliament delegation visiting Jammu and Kashmir. Currently, a delegation of European Union Member of Parliament is in Srinagar to interact with civil and military officials along with civilians to get a reality check on the situation in the Kashmir Valley. These briefings and visits are a part of the Narendra Modi government’s outreach to the international community to give a sense of what’s happening in Kashmir and how Pakistan is backing terrorist groups, sources said.
