AP: Mano Bandhu doing a yeoman’s job for destitutes

Deccan Chronicle

Anantapur: Numerous mentally ill individuals, from both rural and urban areas, often find themselves separated from their loved ones and most of them end up as destitutes on the roadside. Mano Bandhu, established in 2021, is dedicated to addressing the heart-wrenching issue of mentally ill destitute people aimlessly wandering India's streets. Mano Bandhu aims to restore dignity to these lives by providing comprehensive care and support to those who have no one else to rely on. A destitute woman, 45, wandering in Telugu Talli circle was provided with sedation and lifted in the ambulance, Rayalaseema regional coordinator Dr Suresh Babu told DC.
