Road Safety Month celebrations by APSRTC conclude

The Hindu

The Road Safety Month celebrations organised by APSRTC concluded at Maddilapalem RTC Depot on Friday. The Police Commissioner appreciated the reduction in accident rate in APSRTC this year compared to last year, and called upon drivers to not only be fit, but also understand the behaviour of other road users to prevent accidents. Deputy Transport Commissioner RC Srinivasa Rao, who participated as guest of honour, attributed the low accident rate of APSRTC buses to the rigorous training given to drivers. B. Mohan Venkataram of Andhra University hailed the APSRTC drivers for achieving a low accident rate in a dense traffic city like Visakhapatnam.
