Andhra Pradesh signs MoU with Infosys for skill census pre-validation
To improve employment opportunities for the youth in Andhra Pradesh, software major Infosys has come forward to provide technical support for the State’s touted to be the first-ever-in-the-country skill census programme. Minister Lokesh said Infosys’ proactive initiative under Corporate Social Responsibility was commendable and that it would facilitate assessment of current skills among the State’s youth making it easier to provide skill development training in line with market demands. The Infosys Springboard platform would connect aspirants to the learning pathways, offer free line courses and workshops for continuous skill development and facilitate training aligned with assessed skills and career aspirations of the candidates. Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Kona Sashidhar, senior officials of the APSSDC Ganesh Kumar, Dinesh Kumar and Raghu and representatives of Infosys Santosh and Tirumala were present on the occasion.
