Throw him out, orders speaker after Ashok Gehlot’s adviser disrupts assembly
Hindustan TimesJAIPUR: Independent legislator Sanyam Lodha, one of the six to be appointed Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot’s adviser in November last year, was evicted from the state assembly on Tuesday after he disrupted proceedings demanding the release of a man in jail for four years on a murder charge. Independent Rajasthan legislator Sanyam Lodha, who has supported chief minister Ashok Gehlot in the past, was appointed as adviser to chief minister in November last year. Lodha insisted that the man, arrested four years ago in Sirohi district’s Berlut area, was innocent, and sought action against the police officers who played a role in framing him for the crime. When Sanyam Lodha repeatedly interrupted the minister, entered the Well of the House and continued to raise slogans against the police, speaker CP Joshi’s told marshalls to evict him from the House.
