Conan O'Brien Takes A Swipe At Trump's Bromance With Putin Without Saying His Name

LOADING ERROR LOADING Oscars host Conan O’Brien didn’t have to name President Donald Trump on Sunday to slam him for cozying up to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I guess Americans are excited to see somebody finally stand up to a powerful Russian,” quipped O’Brien, whose joke got applause from the crowd. “Anora,” the big winner on Oscars night, is a comedy-drama that sees sex worker Anora “Ani” Mikheeva get married to Ivan “Vanya” Zakharov, who is the son of a Russian oligarch. O’Brien’s dig comes just days after Trump and Vice President JD Vance publicly berated Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a contentious Oval Office clash.
