Internal rift between TDP groups in Annamayya district intensifies

Internal squabbles within the ruling Telugu Desam Party have emerged in Tamballapalle Assembly constituency in Annamayya district, resulting in friction among party factions. The situation intensified on Wednesday night during the birthday celebrations of HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, when publicity banners arranged by a group of leaders were reportedly pulled down by another group. Reports said that as many as 11 banners placed in Tamballapalle town by the district Backward Classes Cell president of the party Purushottam Babu and former TDP MLA Shankar Yadav were ripped apart. Interestingly, the banners featuring Minister Nara Lokesh and Tamballapalle in-charge Dasaripalli Jayachandra Reddy, arranged by the other group, were left intact, raising suspicions about the motives behind the targeted vandalism.
