Telangana Union Demands Proper Salaries to Medical Workers, Threatens Stir
Deccan ChronicleHyderabad: The state president and general secretaries of Telangana Medical Contract Employees and Workers Union MD Yusuf and M Narasimha on Sunday criticised government officials for not paying salaries due to sanitation, patient care and security workers in government hospitals. They decided to organise a protest at the Directorate of Medical Education campus in Koti on July 3 to bring the matter to the attention of the state government. They said officials have been acting in a negligent manner by calling for tenders and not paying the salaries of workers as per GO. State Executive President of Telangana Medical Contract Employees and Workers Union Y Lakshmibai, Deputy General Secretary Hasina Begum, state secretaries and others participated in this meeting.
