Delhi Police arrests member of Mewat-based gang wanted in ATM robbery cases
India TodayAn active member of a Mewat-based gang, who was wanted in two ATM robbery cases in Delhi and Maharashtra, was arrested by a team of Delhi Police Special Cell on Thursday near the Qutub Minar metro station. Efforts of more than two months succeeded when specific information was received by the police that Rahul Khan would come near Qutub Minar metro station on Thursday. In one of the cases, where Rahul Khan was wanted, he and his six associates had broken an ATM in the area of Delhi and stolen cash amounting to Rs 19.14 lakh in December last year. It is here worthwhile to mention that the same team of the Special Cell had arrested 12 alleged members of three different Mewat-based gangs, including the ones accused of breaking of ATMs in Delhi NCR.
