New Delhi: Sending a strong message to its Chinese rivals, Samsung on Tuesday said it sold record number of Galaxy A series phones in just 70 days, starting March 1, achieving $1 billion revenue. Samsung India has launched six models in the Galaxy A series — Galaxy A50, A30, A20, A10, A70 and A2 Core. However, in the premium segment, Samsung regained the top spot after losing out to Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus for three quarters in a row, Counterpoint Research said last week. The initial uptake for the Galaxy S10 series drove Samsung to the leadership position in the premium segment, said the market research firm.
