Osborne to deliver emergency summer Budget on July 8

Governor Mark Carney said he now expects growth of 2.5 per cent this year compared with the 2.9 per cent forecast in February. The central bank also cut next year’s projection from 2.9 per cent to 2.6 per cent and the outlook for 2017 from 2.7 per cent to 2.4 per cent as it warned of weak business investment and sluggish gains in productivity.
