Read our privacy policy No Time to Die director Cary Fukunaga has confirmed he tried to “woo” former Bond girl Grace Jones to return to the franchise, months after reports claimed she had stormed off the set. “I took a snorkelling trip with Grace Jones out in the waters in front of Ian Fleming’s house when I was trying to woo her into being in the film,” the filmmaker told Total Film. Rumours of her involvement in the film stemmed from an Instagram photo published by Jones of a beach in Jamaica, around the time the No Time to Die crew were shooting scenes on the island. Jones’ acting career also included roles in the Eddie Murphy romcom Boomerang and the Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle Conan the Destroyer.
