IPL 2021: Kolkata Knight Riders players in hard quarantine, daily tests in place after positive Covid-19 cases
India TodayKolkata Knight Riders players and support staff have gone into hard quarantine at their team hotel in Ahmedabad after two players, Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier, tested positive for Covid-19. The Indian Premier League on Monday confirmed the two positive cases and said Match 30 between KKR and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Ahmedabad would be postponed. It also said that daily tests are being conducted for KKR players and support staff in Ahmedabad while the board's Medical Team is also determining the close and casual contacts of the two positive cases during the 48 hours prior to collection of the sample that returned the positive test results. The likes of head coach Brendon McCullum and players, including Pat Cummins, are satisfied with the measures taken by KKR following the two positive cases at the moment.
