It’s weird to think that just a few years ago on this very show she was this, like, sweet, innocent, little girl in sl***y clothes, riding around with a python.” As footage of Silverman roasting Spears circulated on social media, the comedian stepped in to say she had been asked by MTV “to min-roast Britney after her big performance” and had no idea it hadn’t been well-received due to the "unfortunate" fact she had been “going over jokes” backstage.
