Avalanche prospect watch: Jean-Luc Foudy’s emergence, Ben Meyers’ progression, more

The Avalanche’s rash of injuries has had a trickle-down effect. “It’s been unbelievable,” Eagles coach Greg Cronin said. Heading into the season, The Athletic’s Corey Pronman wrote Foudy has the “skating, hands and vision to play in the NHL,” and the forward’s play this season has made his stock even higher. Just being responsible goaltenders is huge for us.” Mikhail Maltsev Mikhail Maltsev didn’t do much while up with the Avalanche this season — he had zero points in five games — but Cronin said he was getting “better and better” with the Eagles. When asked how long he’ll be out, Cronin said it “could be the year.” The Hockey News Hub reported Maltsev said he’ll miss at least two months.
