RAFIGANG BRIDGE On September 10, 2002, at least 80 people died and over 170 were injured when two bogies of Kolkata-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, running at a speed of 130 kph, plunged into a river as the bridge over Dhave river near Rafiganj, Bihar. KADALUNDI RIVER BRIDGE On June 22, 2001, over 60 people died and almost 300 were injured when three bogies of Mangalore-Chennai Mail passenger train plunged into the Kadalundi river while it was crossing a 140-year-old bridge that was in a poor state of repair.
