Rajasthan reports more Covid recoveries than new cases; CM launches free vaccination initiative
India TodayRajasthan on Wednesday reported more recoveries than daily coronavirus cases, bringing some hope amid the second wave of infections which has left India’s healthcare system in tatters. This has happened for the first time in Rajasthan since the beginning of the second coronavirus wave, a health department official told India Today TV. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday urged social workers, public representatives, donors and other sections of society to provide financial support to carry out free vaccination of people above 18 years of age against the novel coronavirus infection. He also noted that the Rajasthan government has urged the Centre several times to provide free vaccines to people in the age group of 18 to 44 years.
