Delhi cab driver stabbed to death by passengers over paying Rs 400 taxi fair

A 26-year-old cab driver was stabbed to death by a passenger and his friend after a fight sparked over the fare of Rs 400 in northeast Delhi’s Sonia Vihar, police said on Thursday. Sandeep, who was an app-based taxi driver was found injured in a pool of blood at the roadside near Sonia Vihar area, the police said. Sandeep in his statement to the police said that he brought the passengers, Deepanshu alias Ashu, Rahul and Mayank from Noida to Pusta 2 in Sonia Vihar. Thereafter, he booked a cab for Depanshu, Rahul and Mayank as they live in the Sonia Vihar area," Paweriya said.
