HYDRAA brings down resort and convention hall built in lake

The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency forces removed unauthorised structures raised in Komati Kunta lake in Devarayamjal village of Medchal-Malkajgiri on Thursday. Acting upon several complaints from the local residents about the encroachment of the lake, HYDRAA initiated a full scale enquiry into the issue by Irrigation, Revenue and Thumkunta Municipality officials. The enquiry revealed that one Prakruthi Resorts and Prakruthi Convention constructed in the full tank level of the lake did not have any permissions. When the representatives sought 10 days time for removal of unauthorised hoardings, Mr. Ranganath said that HYDRAA had to take the initiative as the agencies had not responded even after being given notices.
