Google I/O 2018: Android P Beta, updated Google News and conversational Google Assistant announced

Google had a slew of announcements to make at its big I/O kickoff on Wednesday. Although the company had something to say about a majority of its products, the updates around Android, Google Assistant and Google News, were without a doubt, the most exciting. The redesigned Google News, in fact, combines bits and pieces from Google's digital magazine app, Newsstand, as well as YouTube, bringing in new features like newscasts and full coverage. Google Assistant: can hold a conversation now, and make a phone call Much like Amazon's Alexa, Google Assistant is on the verge of becoming more conversational in the days to come. Moreover, R&B singer and songwriter John Legend's voice is coming to Google Assistant later this year, in addition to five other options to choose from.
