Police seize and destroy 85,000 litres of country liquor in Odisha's Balasore, 2 arrested

The Balasore Police in Odisha along with excise department officials launched an operation and raided several illegal country liquor manufacturing units on Tuesday. Acting on reliable information, the Balasore Police led by Superintendent of Police Sudhanshu Mishra and excise sleuths raided the units in Puruna Balasore area and confiscated more than 85,000 litres of country liquor. Speaking to India Today Balasore SP Sudhanshu Mishra said, "This area has a long history of people distilling country liquor illegally and selling it in the market. In a similar raid a few days ago, the Balasore Police along with excise sleuths seized around 50,000 litres of country liquor from the same area.
