64 new routes identified for operating mini bus services in Cuddalore district

The Transport department has identified 64 new routes for permitting minibuses to serve the unserved areas in the district. The new routes, which have been identified after a comprehensive study of the areas that come under the jurisdiction of Cuddalore and Chidambaram Regional Transport Offices, have already been notified in the district gazette. According to official sources, the maximum distance will be 25 km on each new route for operating a minibus. After the route holder gets chosen, proceedings would be issued to the allottees to purchase new vehicles.
