142 mobile phones traced, handed over to owners

VIJAYAWADA: The district police in Prakasam have traced and restored 142 mobile phones after they lost these in recent times. So far, the police recovered 3447 mobile phones lost in the district and handed these over to the owners. Around 7564 missing mobile complaints have been received across the district since the inception of the Missing Mobile Tracing programme from November 1, 2021 to May 8, 2023.” The rest of the lost phones will also be identified and restored to the victims, the SP said. She said those who find forgotten/missing mobile phones in public places should hand them over at the nearest local police station.
