Despite weathering years of drought and the economic impact of COVID-19, farmer Graeme Somers has no plans to leave agriculture any time soon. The New South Wales Government is in negotiations to acquire his 195-hectare mixed-farming property for the creation of the Parkes Special Activation Precinct in the state's central western. The 4,800ha Parkes Special Activation Precinct aims to take advantage of the inland rail corridor.
