Special Investigation Team probing Kodanad case questions SSI

The Special Investigation Team of the CB-CID investigating the Kodanad murder-cum-heist case, on Tuesday, held inquiries with Special Sub-Inspector Maheshkumar, attached to the Coimbatore rural police, in a bid to trace the phone numbers of the masterminds of the crimes - Kanagaraj and K.V. The SIT, which is probing the death by suicide of Dinesh Kumar, an assistant in the computer section of the Kodanad Estate, and the death of Kanagaraj, driver for former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, had issued summons additionally to Kodanad Estate manager Natarajan, and Vijayakumar as well, besides two other SSIs Ramesh Kumar and Pasupathi, and three others, Suresh, Kabeer, and Sankar. SSI Maheshkumar was in the police team that had initially investigated Kodanad murder-cum-heist case. While Kodanad Estate manager Natarajan had informed he would present himself Thursday, the rest who did not turn up were asked to appear before the SIT team on the Police Recruit School premises on Friday.
