Tata Motors today flagged off a fleet of electric buses to transport its workforce at the Pantnagar manufacturing plant in Uttarakhand. The fleet, consisting of Tata Ultra 9m electric buses, will be operated by TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Motors. As per Tata, this initiative is expected to save approximately 1,100 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, aligning with Tata Motors’ sustainability goals. "The introduction of electric buses for workforce commuting marks a significant step forward towards fulfilling Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles’ aspiration of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2045," said Vishal Badshah, Vice President and Head of Operations, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles.
