Accused seers laugh as Yati Narsinghanand says cop probing hate speech 'on our side'

Amid the raging debate and outrage over the recent hate speeches made by some seers at a Dharm Sansad in Haridwar, Dasna temple priest Yati Narsinghanand could be seen joking that the police were on the side of the accused seers. In the video, accused Sadhvi Annapurna could be seen asking a police officer to be equal and fair while investigating the case. Initially, only Waseem Rizvi, who had assumed the name of Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi after converting from Islam to Hinduism, had been named in the FIR lodged on Thursday last week. Provocative speeches inciting violence against Muslims were allegedly made by participants at the event held at Ved Niketan Dham in Haridwar for three days from December 16 to 19.
