The U.S. saw stunningly strong growth in jobs last month. Here's what to know

NPR

The U.S. saw stunningly strong growth in jobs last month. Instead, they created more than a quarter-million jobs last month, while the unemployment rate fell to 4.1%, according to a report Friday from the Labor Department. Sponsor Message While that's a slowdown from the first three months of the year, when employers added an average of 267,000 jobs a month, it's still a solid pace. According to CME's FedWatch tool, odds of a quarter-point rate cut at the next Fed meeting rose to nearly 95% after the jobs report was released, from 68% the day before.
