Wayanad Tragedy: This Devotees’ Group In Chikkamagaluru Will Not Celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi

News 18

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most important festivals in the country. Dr Rajkumar Fans’ Youth Group of Chikkamagaluru, which is known for their grand Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations every year, decided to observe the festival by helping out the victims of the Wayanad disaster. For the last two decades, the Dr Rajkumar Fans’ Youth Group has been installing the Ganesha idol with utmost grandeur at Gateway to Chikkamagaluru. While the entire city celebrates the festival with pomp in places like Vijayapura, Rampura, and the Hindu Mahasabha, it was Dr Rajkumar Fans’ celebrations that always stood out. Apart from this, the group has also decided to donate the funds which they collected previously to the victims of the Wayanad tragedy.
