Blacklisted builder employs backdoor tactic to bag project

In an apparent backdoor entry, the relative of a blacklisted builder has tied up with L&T Realty to compete for a controversial project under the Slum Redevelopment Authority scheme at a prime Andheri plot worth ₹4,000 to ₹5,000 crore. Files three applications According to the documents available with The Hindu, LTR SSM Private Limited, a company formed by L&T Realty in association with SSM Realty LLP, has filed three applications to compete for the redevelopment of around 21,000 square metres. An SRA official confirmed that LTR SSM Private Limited has filed three applications, and is pitted against five other construction companies. A source said LTR SSM Private Limited was formed on September 24, 2018, a day prior to the deadline of filing applications by companies interested in executing the redevelopment project.
