M. Lakshmana seeks regional unit of KSISF in Mysuru

The Hindu

Congress leader M. Lakshmana has urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to establish a regional unit of Karnataka State Industrial Security Force in Mysuru region. In a letter to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, copies of which were shared with the media, Mr. Lakshmana said a portion of the old city Police Commissioner’s office or the old Deputy Commissioner’s office or any other vacant government buildings in Mysuru can be utilised as the KSISF’s regional unit office, thereby preventing any additional financial burden on infrastructure creation. Hence, establishing a KSISF regional unit in Mysuru will not incur any financial burden on the government, he said. Claiming that the State police had also approved the request and forwarded the same to the Home Secretary, Mr. Lakshmana said he was hopeful of the State government establishing a regional unit of KSISF in Mysuru soon.
