Sabarimala firebrand thrashed'

Deccan Chronicle

Malappuram: Kanaka Durga, who along with Bindu Ammini made history by having darshan at Sabarimala, was attacked allegedly by her mother-in-law when she reached her home at Perinthalmanna here on Tuesday morning. She hit Durga with a wooden stick around 7.30 a.m. for going to Sabarimala. The police who were providing security to her house took her to the district hospital at Perinthalmanna and later shifted her to the medical college hospital at Manjeri. The BJP, RSS and Sabarimala Karma Samiti activists gathered in front of the medical college and started a protest against Durga chanting Ayyappa slogans.
