Youth Congress demands to censor the movie ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, threatens to stop release

Op India

The Maharashtra unit of Youth Congress has sent a letter to the producers of the movie The Accidental Prime Minister, asking for a special screening for them before the theatrical release of the movie, so that they can censor it. The movie is a biopic on former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh, based on a book with the same name by Sanjaya Baru, who was media advisor of Dr Singh. Now it seems The Accidental Prime Minister will also face similar protests and disruptions by the Congress party workers. Other than Anupam Kher, the movie stars Akshaye Khanna playing the role of Sanjaya Baru and German actress Suzanne Bernert as Sonia Gandhi, who has acted in several TV serials in India before.
