Veteran Kannada actor Sarigama Viji paases away at 76

Veteran Kannada actor Sarigama Viji passed away at 77 at a private hospital in Bengaluru on January 15, 2024. Viji, who began his journey in the Kannada film industry more than four decades ago, acted in over 250 movies. His most prominent play was Samsaradalli Sarigama, earning him the name ‘Sarigama Viji’. Part of the theatre group named Yashasvi, he directed and starred in the play that was staged more than 1300 times across several cities, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.
