While campaigning at Birulia bazaar in Nandigram on March 10, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was injured when, while passing through a crowd of people, her car’s door slammed against her. But this much I can say—the people of Nandigram would not resort to.” Many of the people of Nandigram, who acknowledge the district’s debt to Mamata for her support in protect its farmlands from land sharks and the setting up of a chemicals hub, says they are hurt at being caught up in allegations of a conspiracy of such huge proportions.
