Here’s why Karan Johar introduced Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit and Sonakshi Sinha before the male actors

The much-anticipated film Kalank has just dropped its teaser on Tuesday. Even in the teaser, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha are mentioned before Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur. When producer Karan Johar was questioned about the thought behind this move, he said that the women of Kalank are playing the major role in the multi-starrer film, hence their names come first. I am raised by strong women and I would say that these three women characters are the heart, soul and spine of Kalank. According to Alia, the film, which also stars Sanjay Dutt, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur, among others, is a true ensemble film as "every character is primary".
