According to NBC News, workers of a Colombia-based call center that offers customer services to some of the nation’s largest companies, are being pressured by their higher authorities to sign a contract and let their employer install cameras in their homes. The Teleperformance employees who work for one of the world’s largest call center firms have Apple, Amazon and Uber among their clients. As per the contract, it allows monitoring by AI-powered cameras, storage of data and voice analytics that will be collected from the worker’s family members, including minors who reside at home.
