Unskilled doctors add to health crisis in encephalitis hit areas of Uttar Pradesh

Ache Lal Prajapati in Singhpur village of Maharajganj district runs a medical store and clinic at a small shop despite having no medical degree since the last 10 years. - Additional chief medical officer of Maharajganj district Seema Singh said Another child specialist in Gorakhpur spoke about how important the right diagnosis is to treat a patient. - Dr RN Singh, a child specialist in Gorakhpur said Dr Singh said that it will take another 10-15 years to build enough hospitals, therefore, the government should give special training to these quacks so that they could treat patients with basic health issues. Principal of BRD Medical College Dr Ganesh Kumar also said that quacks sometimes spoil health of patients by giving them misplaced diagnosis and prescriptions.
