One of the mainstays of Mumbai’s cultural scene, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, is back with live performances through February. The reopening concert is by the Symphony Orchestra of India Chamber Orchestra, which will play classics on 3 February, and Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C Major and works by Bach, Britten and others on 21 February. For Indian classical fans, there’s a performance featuring the pakhawaj and dhrupad compositions on 12 February, part of the CITI-NCPA Promising Artistes Series. We are reopening with SOI Chamber Orchestra performing some beautiful old classics followed by an array of events lined up for the whole month.” The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai's safety protocols would be followed, he added.
