Apple Watch may soon come with built-in camera to power AI features
Apple is reportedly developing an Apple Watch with built-in cameras as part of its broader push to integrate artificial intelligence more deeply across its hardware, according to Mark Gurman’s latest newsletter published in Bloomberg. By giving the Apple Watch the ability to “see” its surroundings, Apple could significantly improve the functionality of these AI features, enabling users to interact with their environment in new ways. Apple’s move to bring AI hardware to the Apple Watch and AirPods is part of a wider ambition to reduce reliance on external AI services like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s AI models. According to Gurman, Apple aims to integrate Visual Intelligence across its product range, making it a core part of future Apple Watches, AirPods, and other devices.
