16-year-old girl 'injected with aphrodisiacs', raped for 8 years; 4 arrested

A 16-year-old girl from Mumbai's Andheri was kidnapped and allegedly injected with aphrodisiacs and raped for eight years. The cousin "got into a relationship" with the girl after his father had taken her to Uttar Pradesh to get her married and extract money from her family, the survivor said in her complaint. According to a report by the Times of India, the local Amboli Police Station recovered a 27-page note which was purportedly written by the girl to her parents. Based on a kidnap case filed by her father, the deputy commissioner of police Abhishek Trimukhe and his team consisting senior inspector Someshwar Kamte, inspector Abdul Rauf Shaikh travelled to Delhi and Uttar Pradesh and rescued the girl.
