Pawan sees wealth creation from waste
Vijayawada: By employing scientific methods, we can generate wealth from waste. Introduction of creative techniques in managing solid and liquid waste will put a permanent end to garbage problem in the state, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said here on Saturday. Pawan Kalyan, along with principal secretary Shashi Bhushan Kumar, and MLC P. Hari Prasad, inaugurated an exhibition titled ‘Garbage To Gold’ organised by the Solid and Liquid Resource Management Centre on procedures to be followed in liquid and solid management in rural areas and various products that can be produced out of the waste generated. Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan said waste management has become a challenge for local bodies. The Deputy CM wanted the panchayat raj and rural development department to organise an expert workshop on waste management involving panchayat raj representatives, DWCRA groups, and other sections.
