CBI officer investigating Muzaffarpur shelter case transferred, Tejaswi blames Nitish
India TodayAfter CBI SP J.P Mishra, who was heading the probe into Muzaffarpur shelter home sex racket, was transferred to Patna DIG office on Tuesday, RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav has alleged that the transfer was carried out at the initiative of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who wanted to remove him from the probe. Two former ministers of the social welfare department, Manju Verma and Damodar Rawat having already been questioned by the CBI, He said that Mishra's transfer from CBI was questionable as he was supposed to submit a progress report in the shelter case in the Patna High Court on Thursday. It may be mentioned that CBI probe in the shelter case is being monitored by the Patna High Court. JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said that if the RJD leaders indeed felt for the victims of the shelter case, he should become an intervener in this case in the High Court.
