Congress Kisan Cell demands financial aid for flood-hit

HYDERABAD: Stating that property worth thousands of crore of rupees had been damaged due to incessant rains in Telangana, Congress Kisan Cell vice-president M. Kodanda Reddy on Monday demanded that the state government provide financial assistance to the victims immediately. Kodanda Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had failed to handle the flood situation in Telangana. Following TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy's directions, all Congress party cadres and leaders were involved in flood rescue operations at different places. The government also must consider providing '20,000 per acre for paddy farmers and '15,000 per acre for cotton farmers," Kodanda Reddy said
